Halle Berry set the record straight for the rumors going around about her being cast as the lead for an uncoming biopic of Oprah Winfrey.
Halle sat down with Ellen on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and told Ellen, “I’m not going to play Oprah. No, I was just like [pretends to be on the phone], ‘Hey, Oprah, Am I playing you? Just tell me because nobody has told me this.’ I don’t know where these rumors come from”
When asked if a movie was being made about Oprah’s life Halle says, “I don’t know. Not that I wouldn’t want to play Oprah if there was a movie. I just don’t know how this stuff gets made up.”
This episode will air on Monday.
I would like to see a biopic of Oprah Winfrey but I don’t think I want to see Halle Berry play Oprah…I’m going to need someone who resembles Miss Winfrey a little more.
