It has been a week since G-Funk crooner Nate Dogg passed away at 41 years old unexpectedly from a stroke. Now family, friends and fans will be able to say their final good byes and celebrate the life of the late Nate Dogg during weekend of memorial events.
First, on Friday March 25th there will be a public viewing for Nathaniel Dwayne “Nate Dogg” Hale in Long Beach, California, at the New Hope Baptist Church, located at 1160 New York Street, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A public funeral for Nate Dogg will be held on Saturday March 26th at 10 a.m. at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal. Cameras will not be allowed on either site. Then finally on Sunday Marc 27th a memorial benefit concert, hosted by DJ Quik will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
In an interview with MTV News, Warren G, who collaborated with Nate Dogg on their hit “Regulators” and who also was a close friend of the crooner’s, mention how he was coping. “I’m hurting, and you know, a lot of people are showing tons of support for his family, for his homeboys, and we really and truly appreciate that. It’s real love.”
