Well Alicia Keys has finally broken her silence and is speaking out about all the “home wrecking” rumors that have been circulating since news of Alicia messing around with Swizz Beatz while he was still married to Mashonda.
In case you have been living under a rock, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz hooked up while Swizzy was still legally married to Mashonda. According to Mashonda she was still happily married to Swizz, while Swizz on the other hand said he didn’t feel close or even married to Mashonda. Alicia and Swizz were engaged just one month after his and Mashonda’s divorce was finalized.
Alicia claims Mashonda and Swizz had been “separated” months before they got together telling Essence magazine, “We didn’t start seeing each other until months after they had separated.”
Alicia admits that the “home wrecker” label hurt her saying, “‘I was aware of all the false things that were being said about me it definitely hurt. I was sure that if I engaged it would become back-and-forth like some sick entertainment, which goes against everything I believe and would have made things worse.”
Alicia says she and Mashonda have settled their differences saying, “Things are really good now.”
She also applauds her hubby as being a great father, “Kasseem is very present in his children’s lives. I wouldn’t be able to love him otherwise.”
Well…I for one am happy these three were able to iron everything out for the kids’ sake.

I love akeys. She’s my fav singer. She has inspired me in so many ways, from me wanting to start piano lessons again. I took piano lessons when I was younger and.had the most terrible teacher in the world. I pray that I will find the best piano teacher and pick it back up. Anyway, Alicia, did intact started her relationship with her hubby after he was divorced. I got a question: why didn’t people give her that much heat when her and Swizz got together claiming that he was still married, but gave fantasia heat when she was messing with a married man? I don’t know………….
She got some heat…not as much as Fantasia but she did get some backlash. Anytime someone is messing with someone who is married it’s not a good look!
