Last week it was reported that Cassidy was arrested for violating his probation AND was a suspect in a murder case but it seems as if only half of this is true. Cassidy DID in fact violate his probation BUT he is NOT a suspect in a murder case.

According to XXL.com the Philadelphia Police Department issued a statement saying:

“In reference to the recent inquires regarding Barry Reese (aka Cassidy), on Saturday, May 14, 2011, Reese was arrested by Hackensack Police for a probation violation for a previous aggravated assault incident in Philadelphia.”

Cassidy must have posted bail because he tweeted from his Twitter account on May 19th:

“Da Hustla home!!! GOD is great! I just touch down! Feeling better than ever! Down believe everything you hear.. Im good.. @Cassidy_Larsiny. Since I’m home feeling good.. I’m dropping some new music tommorow .. Since my name in Niggas mouth, why not.. It’s about to get ulgy ..”
