Ying Yang Twins, 2 Live Crew, Pretty Ricky & Others Sue CBS/CNET For Millions

A number of rappers are suing CBS Interactive and its website, CNET for millions over illegal downloads. The Ying Yang Twins, 2 Live Crew, JT Money, The Force MDS, J-Shin and singing group Pretty Ricky filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California yesterday (May 3rd).
In the lawsuit, it claims CBS Interactive’s website CNET was the main place to download peer2peer sharing software such as LimeWire, Morpheus and iMesh which generated millions of downloads.
The rappers claim that CBS made plenty of money from the P2P providers on a “pay per download” basis, in addition to the revenue generated by advertisements shown on the download screen.
I’m not mad at them…they need that money!
