I knew it was only a matter of time before the feds caught up with this cat. James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond was arrested yesterday (June 21st) in New York City today after a brief foot chase with authorities.

According to MTV News, this fool was spotted walking out of The W Hotel in Union Square. Henchman then tried to flee on foot but was tackled and arrested on 21st Street and Park Avenue South.

Rosemond was then arraigned in Brooklyn for his role in a massive cocaine conspiracy ring, which allegedly shipped hundreds of kilos of cocaine to studios in New York and sent millions in proceeds to the West coast. He is being held without a bail.

According to Rosemond’s lawyer, Jeffery Lichtman, Henchman and his defense team are ready. “These charges obviously aren’t surprising, we’ve been anticipating them for years now,” Lichtman told MTV News on Tuesday. “But they’re built on the backs of people that have lied and cheated, have been threatened, have been bribed by the government,” he added. “Anything to get Jimmy Rosemond, but all of this is going to be exposed. We’ve been waiting a long time for our day in court — we finally have it.”

Jimmy has been in the headlines lately with two of his associates being charged with the murder of a 50 Cent associate who was shot and killed in the Bronx. His name was also in headlines because a former associate of his told AllHipHop that Jimmy paid him $2,500 to shoot Tupac inside Quad Studios back in ’94.

Jimmy’s arrest ended a two week search that started May 29th when it was reported that federal agents were looking for him.
