Although Nivea wants us to believe she was not drinking and driving the police are singing a different tune.
According to TMZ, Nivea crashed her ’06 Mercedes into a tree that had fallen in the road around 1:30AM on Sunday. When cops reached the scene, Nivea had “bloodshot, glassy eyes and smelled like alcohol.” Nivea claims to have had 3 drinks earlier in the evening and she admits she didn’t see the bright yellow crime tape and the traffic cones directing cars away from the downed tree. *side eye*
Soon after, Nivea was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and reckless driving. The child in the backseat was unharmed and given to Nivea’s boyfriend.
