When Twitter goes wrong…
Keri Hilson is under fire for twitpic’n a photo of herself and a Amy Winehouse look-a-like in the club tweeting, “*Gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/ me!!! (seriously, uncanny resemblance).” She then starts receiving hundreds of tweets from pissed off Amy fans like:
“@kerihilson How dare you ! She hasn’t even been deceased for a week”
“@kerihilson is a cold hearted b*tch 4 dat neva f*ck wit da dead she need 2 watch kuz her career still sint no where”
“So, @kerihilson is making jokes about Amy Winehouse. Too badAmy had more success with 1 album then Keri will have in her whole career.”
Keri then apologized tweeting, “Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever. #RIPAMYWINEHOUSE I apologize 2 anyone who might’ve taken it the wrong way. As a fan, I thought it was cool that she dressed up to honor Amy.. I had no ill intent, but I understand how it appears insensitive…my bad twitterville. For real.”
Was Keri being insensitive or disrespectful with that tweet? I just think she should have known better…period.
