R. Kelly is facing a $2.9 million foreclosure lawsuit after refusing to pay mortgage payments for over a year. R. Kelly’s suburban Chicago mansion rests on a 3.7 acre lot and is 11,140 sq. ft. in Olympia Fields, outside of Chicago.
According to the Huffington Post, a source close to Kelly says the singer had stopped making payments on the mortgage in order to force the bank to renegotiate the loan.
Well you know Kelly was sued last month by his former manager Jeff Kwatinetz for $1 million but Jeff was told he couldn’t get paid because Kelly needed the cash “for payments to avoid lawsuits and adverse publicity” resulting from Kelly’s alleged sexual misconduct case.
R. Kelly was scheduled to perform here in Richmond, Va last night but cancelled 3 hours before the show due to an illness. He probably should have tried to fight through that illness to get that $$$ so he can off these lawsuits.
