R. Kelly was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday (July 19th) for emergency throat surgery where doctors had to drain an abscess on one of his tonsils. Although his publicist said “It is not known” when Kellz will be able to perform again, Kellz is staying in good spirits.

Kellz took to his Twitter yesterday tweeting,“I’d like to thank everybody for their love, concern and support. I WILL BE BACK!”

Kellz even tweeted about his throat bothering him on July 13th tweeting, “I refuse to take another cup of theraflu! I feel like my throat is coming back. I’ve been in bed sweating like crazy.”

Glad he’s doing ok!

UPDATE: R. Kelly has been released from the hospital and is recuperating at home according to spokesman Allan Mayer.
