Back in September (2011) there were reports that Deion Sanders and his wife of 12 years, Pilar, were getting a divorce. Deion took to his Twitter account to deny he was divorcing Pilar while Pilar said in an interview that they were indeed getting a divorce. o_O
Then in December he changed it up and announced that he and Pilar would be getting a divorce saying, “Pilar and I have decided to end our marriage and move on to the next phase of our individual lives with mutual respect. We are friends and our top priority has and will continue to be the well-being of our children. We arrived at this decision prayerfully and carefully in order to be able to pursue what is in both of our best personal interests.”
Deion has now officially filed for divorce. In the court documents, Deion states he and Pilar “ceased to live together as husband and wife.” He filed the petition in Texas on December 21st.
Deion and Pilar were married 12 years ago on May 21, 1999 and they share 3 children together. No word from Pilar…yet.
Why didn’t Deion just come clean the first time?? Pilar obviously had no problem doing so.
