Murder suspect Young Vito is being held without a bond for the murder of Brick Squad rapper Slim Dunkin.

Young Vito, born Vinson Hardimon, appeared in court yesterday to face murder and gun charges.
He is accused of murdering Slim Dunkin, born Mario Hamilton, in a recording studio on Memorial Drive in Atlanta, on December 16.
During the court proceedings, prosecutors revealed that two witnesses placed Young Vito at the crime scene, while the rapper’s laptop and other proof of his presence was recovered.
Prosecutors said that the deadly incident started over a piece of candy, and ended with the two men fighting in the studio booth, after insults were exchanged.
According to Hip-Hop Enquirer, At some point during the fight, it is believed that an associate of Young Vito passed him a gun.
It’s reported that Young Vito allegedly shot Slim Dunkin once in the torso. Prosecutors said they never found the murder weapon and believe that someone associated with Young Vito most likely cleaned up before fleeing the scene.
Young Vito’s lawyers are building a case of self-defense. He’s still behind behind bars due to his lengthy criminal record including cruelty to children, and aggravated assault.
