Flo-Rida has a lawsuit on his hands after his ex-assistant decided to sue him for being paid waaaaaaay below minimum wage.
Flo’s ex-assistant, Mahogany Miller, claims she worked long hours busting her butt being his assistant only to get FIRED after she raised the issue of being paid only $3.08/hr. She says she started the gig back in August, but was fired less than 24 hours after she went to him about the long hours she was putting in for way below minimum wage.
So now she’s suing for unspecified damages.
I completely understand where you feel like you’re putting in alot of man hours and hardly getting sh*t in return, but didn’t she know the pay grade before she decided to accept the position? #justsayin
UPDATE: Flo Rida’s attorney, Sandy Becher, is speaking out about the lawsuit against her client, Flo Rida, saying that Mahogany was never even an official employee, but in fact just a volunteer! His attorney claims she’s the one who begged to work for him to get her foot in the music industry.
His attorney says Mahogany wasn’t even qualified for an official position, so Flo let her work as an unofficial intern and occasionally paid for her gas and lunches. His attorney states that she wasn’t fired because she bought up the money issue but because her ”behavior was inappropriate for the workplace environment.”
Flo Rida told TMZ, “This is ridiculous that I gave someone an opportunity out of the goodness of my heart and now sadly I am being falsely targeted.”
