After hearing Nas’ new track “Daughters,” (which was dedicated to his daughter, Destiny), his ex-girlfriend/baby mama, Carmen Bryan, had her own opinion about the track!

Carmen took to her Twitter account to blast Nas for his new track “Daughters.” She tweeted:
Just heard “Daughters” by Nas. What a disappointment! He had nothing positive to say about our daughter and his depiction of her is false!
In the song, Nas opens up about when Destiny twitpic’d a box of condoms next to her bed for the world to see.
He raps in the 2nd verse:
This morning I got a call, nearly split my wig
This social network said “Nas go and get ya kid”
She’s on Twitter, I know she ain’t gon post no pic
Of herself underdressed, no inappropriate shit, right
Her mother cried when she answered
Said she don’t know what got inside this child’s mind, she planted
A box of condoms on her dresser then she Instagrammed it
At this point I realized I ain’t the strictest parent
I’m too loose, I’m too cool with her
Shoulda drove on time to school with her
I thought I dropped enough jewels on her
Took her from private school, so she can get a balance
To public school, they too nurture teen talents
They grow fast, one day she’s ya little princess
Next day she talking boy business, what is this
They say the coolest playas and foulest heart breakers in the world
God gets us back, he makes us have precious little girls
Carmen says Nas doesn’t even spend enough time with Destiny to even know her foreal. She’s upset because instead of rapping about something positive about his daughter, he chose to speak about the condom incident.
We definitely can understand where Carmen is coming from. Is this really a song Destiny can be proud of?? Carmen responded to a Twitter critic tweeting, “do u have a mf problem understanding? Do you really think Destiny enjoyed listening to that song?”
She says to another follower, “Destiny is extremely talented, caring and has a huge heart, none of those things were mentioned. I’m proud of her.”
I can see where she’s coming from but I also don’t think Nas meant any harm with the song. He just spoke on some ish he went through *Kanye shrug*
