The twins, Alexander and Nicholas, were delivered by C-section and, at 25 weeks, are severely premature. Nicholas weighs only 1 lb and 9 oz, and Alexander weighs 1 lb 4 oz, according to mlive.com. They are both only about six inches long.
Back on March 6th of this year, Christine, her boyfriend and her 3-year-old son were walking out of a building in Grand Rapids, Michigan when she complained of a sudden pain in her head and then immediately collapsed.
Family members prayed for the twin babies survival as Christine laid in the hospital. Eventually, Christine’s blood pressure got to high and they had to take the twins at a very premature 25 weeks.
Danielle [Christine's aunt] told the news channel that Christine’s grandmother even told the doctors not to “numb her” during the surgery in the hope that she’d feel the pain and wake up.
“God, he could have took her and the boys,” said Danielle. “But he left the boys. That’s a miracle.”

Life after death. Bitter sweet for the family being that I’m sure it’s hard to celebrate life when having to bury another. We will keep her babies and her family in our prayers.
