Atlanta fire officials were able to put out a 4-alarm fire which broke out at filmmaker Tyler Perry’s studio that damaged a building at the complex.
Luckily, there are no reports of any injuries. Nearly 100 firefighters battled the blaze, which began at around 9 p.m. Tuesday at the compound near Greenbriar Parkway.
According to 11Alive in Atlanta:
“One building [Stage 5] on the Tyler Perry Studio lot has partially collapsed due to fire damage,” said Captain Jolyon Bundrige of the Atlanta Fire Department. Fire officials said the collapse was limited to the building’s facade, and the building itself was still structurally sound.
No word from Tyler Perry. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Glad no one was hurt.
