Humility!
A feeling Drake is experiencing after his braggadocios claims recently got him brought back down to earth. Many celebrities, especially rappers, are often accused of boasting in excess to the material things that they can afford or already have, thanks to the support of their fans. We often overlook these things until they become dead broke.
When Canadian born rapper Drake recently tweeted, “The first million is the hardest,” he could easily have been accused of being extremely big headed. However, it wasn’t long before the 25 year-old-rapper was quickly brought back down to earth by someone who knows a little about making money.
Find out who shut Drake down on Twitter…
Its possible his large bank account made an impression on the majority of his nearly 8 million followers but at least one wasn’t impressed at all.
T. Boone Pickens, 84, a wealthy businessman, who just so happens to follow the Young Money rapper on Twitter, quickly countered with a text of his own. He replied to the rapper, “The first billion is a helluva lot harder.” Ouch! Lol, now do we believe that Mr. Pickens actually tweeted this himself? No, but it does make for good comedy.
Drake apparently felt a little remorse and tweeted once again, this time with more humility.
Respect goes out to Mr. Pickens, who is worth an estimated 1.4 billion and is ranked as the 328 th richest person in the U.S. We hope the next time a rapper feels the need to feel himself heavy, he will think twice before telling the world.
