According to a custody evaluation that was written and submitted to the judge in the current custody battle between Halle Berry and her ex Gabriel Aubry, it seems like Halle has been chosen as the better parent, which makes it easier for her dream to move to Paris to become a reality soon.
Keep reading for the details…
A psychologist wrote the report after numerous interviews with Halle, Gabriel, their daughter, 4 year-old Nahla and several others. The report raised issues about Gabriel’s ability to care for Nahla, in part because of personal issues.
The judge will decide the custody arrangement later this month and whether Halle will have the chance to move to Paris with their daughter.
According to a California law, the judge has no power when it comes to where a parent can live once they have custody. The judge can’t question Halle about moving to Paris, nor tell her she isn’t allowed to move. The judge must accept that she is moving to France if it comes down to that.
However he must decide what is in the “best interest” for Nahla, whether it be granting Halle full time or being with Gabriel. Given that a psychologist deemed Halle the better parent, its possible the judge will decide that Nahla is best served by being with her mother. A huge advantage for Halle.
If she is allowed to move, we are certain that Gabriel would get visitation rights but how good will that be for him, when she is over 5,000 miles away? Wow! We wish them the best, especially for the young child involved.
