Almost three years after his death, Michael Jackson’s teenage daughter, Paris, sits down with Oprah Winfrey for an interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” (which airs Sunday at 9pm/EST) where she opens up about her life with her father Michael Jackson.
Paris reveals why Michael Jackson made them where masks in public and how she’s copping with the grief from her father passing.
Watch a clip of the interview below:
“I was really confused. I didn’t get why I was wearing a mask,” Jackson reveals. “I understand it now. My dad wanted us to be covered [because] he wanted us to have a childhood.” That way she, Prince, and Blanket could go places other kids could, like Chuck E. Cheese. “Chuck E. Cheese was one of our most favorite places to go,” she explains.
As for processing her father’s death, she says, “It never gets any easier.”
“Oprah’s Next Chapter,” will also will include an interview with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, which will air at 9pm/EST this Sunday on OWN.
We will be front and center.
