Ms. Wilson began her career as a performing stand-up comedian in the early 1990′s before getting a role on the television show “Thea,” that lead to her getting cast in supporting roles in movies such as “House Party 2″ and “3,” “Friday ” and “Poetic Justice.”
However, in 1996, she was cast as Andell Wilkerson, a supporting character in her most important role, the TV sitcom “Moesha.” She later portrayed Nikki Parker’s best friend, played by comedian Mo’Nique on Moesha’s spin-off show “The Parkers.”
Our sincere condolences go out to her family and friends who are mourning at this time.
Rest in God’s Hands! Yvette Wilson [March 6, 1964 - June 14, 2012]
