When Will It End?!?!
Last month, United Airlines in Houston, TX announced that it was going to cut around 1,300 jobs but it is possible that at least one employee, deserved to have been fired a very long time ago!
Grammy Award winning R&B singer, Kelly Price, informed her over 62,000 followers on Twitter, that she was recently racially profiled at United Airlines while trying to board a flight in Houston, in an incident that she describes as demoralizing and humiliating..

Here’s what we know, Ms. Price was headed to Mobile, AL to perform for her fans at the Funk Fest, before she encountered a rude employee by the name of Stephanie, who was described as the nastiest agent that she has ever come across in her life (pictured above).
Ms. Price goes on to explain that Stephanie refused to service her because she refused to get in the back of the other line, insisting that the line that Kelly was in was for the “premier and 1st class only,” without even looking at her boarding pass to see that she was indeed a Premier 1st Class flier.
To make matters worse, Stephanie refused to apologize after realizing that she had made a mistake. She has also reached out to United Airlines and so far still no apology after 2 days.
The singer has released several statements about the incident through her Twitter page, @KellyPrice4Real, and has decided to boycott United Airlines and has since filed a complaint against Stephanie. She also started a petition (click here to sign) demanding United Airlines to treat everyone fairly.
We stand with Kelly Price in demanding justice and that proper punishment be given to Stephanie. Racial profiling can be a dangerous situation, but we commend Kelly for being intelligent in the face of ignorance. We will keep you posted as updates continue to come.
To read the exact accounts of Kelly Prices ordeal in her words, continue reading:
“Traveling for business with my business partner on United. The flight was late getting to the connection in Houston. We went to the Customer service desk to be re-routed and waited in the premier access line. There were 3 agents working and the line was getting long due to several late arriving flights. Agent Stephanie made an announcement on 3 separate occasions pointing to the line and telling everyone who was not a first class or premier customer to leave that line ad move to the other line. She refused service to the gentleman in the line before my husband and me (dressed very casually). When the next available opening came up she called for the next in line and I approached the her. She told me I wasn’t next and directed me to the back of the non premier line. I told her “I can read and I am a premier customer and Im next” I tried to hand her my boarding pass and she refused to help me. We got into a “raised voice” conversation with each other until she finally stopped talking to us altogether. She helped the next person from the other line, a well dressed man in a suit. She ignored my husband and I for nearly 20 minutes as we stood there and demanded service from her and demanded that she call a supervisor. She refused to call a supervisor. I asked the other ladies to call a supervisor and they ignored me as well. All 3 ladies pretended my husband and I were not there. they talked around us never bothering to look at at our boarding passes. More than 20 minutes later Stephanie took our boarding passes.I asked again for a supervisor. She told me she didn’t know the supervisors number. She turned her badge backwards. I told her I was going to file a complaint and I needed to see her badge. She began yelling out loud that I was harrassing her at which time I was clear she was trying to have me removed from the airport. I had to walk to another station and ask for a supervisor to come. People stared in disbelief. Comments were made but of course no one wanted to get involved. I think its disgusting that in this day and age I can be looked at and it be decided that I don’t LOOK like a first class customer. I fly this airline all the time. THIS WAS HUMILIATING AND THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF DISRESPECT. shame on UNITED. SHAME ON THE OTHER LADIES WORKING AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK WHO REFUSED TO HELP. SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!!
KELLY PRICE
A FREQUENT FLYING FIRST CLASS PASSENGER EVERY TIME I BOARD A PLANE! TELL THAT TO STEPHANIE WHO IS STUCK IN PRE 60′S SOUTHERN MENTALITY!
