According to AllHipHop, former Cash Money rapper, Turk (born Tab Vigil Jr.), will be released from Forrest City, Arkansas federal prison on October 12, 2012.

Turk has been locked up on federal gun possession charges since 2005, after a shooting of a Memphis police officer back in 2004. A S.W.A.T. team raided an apartment Turk Turk frequented and a gunfight ensued, leaving two officers injured.
Turk was 1/4 of one of the biggest rap groups, The Hot Boyz, from 1996 to 2001. Turk was featured on #1 albums like Get It How You Live!, Guerrilla Warfare and released his solo album titled Young & Thuggin’.
Turk is now focusing on releasing his new book titled “The AutoThugoGraphy of Turk,” and he’s also wrote a screenplay based on his like titled “Reckless,” in which he hopes to see make it to the big screen.
