Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson the recently married Miami Dolphins’ receiver was arrested on a charge of domestic violence against his newlywed wife, reality star Evelyn Lozada-Johnson on Saturday (August 11th) at his home in Davie, Fl.

Chad allegedly head-butted his wife during an argument, according to Davie Police Department Capt Dale Engle. SMH!

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were out to dinner Saturday night. On their way home, an argument ensued following a confrontation after Evelyn found a receipt for a box of condoms in his car. (Use your brain son, leave the receipt at the store!)

The argument got heated and continued as they arrived at their home. When they arrived in their drive-way, Johnson allegedly bumped heads with Ev, who was treated for a cut to her forehead. She claims that he leaned over and got her. He claims that she leaned over and they simply “butted heads” by accident

Evelyn was treated at the scene but was later transported to Westside Regional Hospital.

When the police arrived, they arrested Chad after seeing visible lacerations on her face. He was being held in Broward County Jail where he will remain, possibly until Monday, when he can go before a judge.  He is charged with domestic violence and simple battery which are both misdemeanors.

Team officials are aware of the situation and are waiting to gather information before making an official statement.

After an elegant and extravagant wedding last month, is it safe to assume the honeymoon is over?

The couple married July 4th, while cameras were rolling, so we all assume this is for the show but after their loss to Tampa Bay, in which Chad didn’t catch a single pass, he needs to keep his head in the game.
